Terms of Service

Last updated August 8, 2026 · 12 sections

The short version

  • MekaDesk lets your team answer Telegram, Messenger, and Instagram messages from one shared inbox. Replies go out as the connected account or Page.
  • You must be authorized to manage the account or Page you connect, and you are responsible for what your team sends.
  • Telegram and Meta set their own rules on messaging people — those rules apply to you, and can limit or block some sends.
  • The Service is provided “as is”, and you can disconnect or stop using it at any time.

A summary for orientation only — the full text below is what applies.

01Agreement#

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MekaDesk (the “Service”). By creating an account, connecting a messaging account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using MekaDesk on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you have authority to do so.

02What MekaDesk does#

MekaDesk is a shared team inbox for messaging channels. It connects to a Telegram account through Telegram’s official Business API, and to a Facebook Page — and the Instagram account linked to it — through Meta’s Messenger Platform. A team of admins can then read, assign, label, and reply to conversations from one web dashboard or the mobile app. Replies are sent as the connected account or Page, not as the individual member, though MekaDesk records internally which member sent each reply.

03Accounts & eligibility#

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
  • Owners register with Telegram or Google, and may need approval by a MekaDesk operator before the account becomes active. Admins and sub-admins are added by an owner and sign in with email and password.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and those of members you invite, including what they send to your customers.

04Connecting an account#

Depending on the channel, connecting works differently:

  • Telegram:you enable our bot as a Business chatbot inside your own Telegram app and grant the “Reply to messages” permission.
  • Messenger & Instagram: you sign in with Facebook and grant our app access to the Page you want to connect, which also covers the Instagram account linked to that Page.

By connecting, you confirm that you own or are authorized to manage that account or Page, and that using MekaDesk to handle its messages complies with the rules of the underlying platform. You can disconnect at any time — from within Telegram, or by revoking our access in your Facebook settings.

05Platform rules#

The messaging platforms impose their own rules on how businesses may contact people, and those rules apply to you when you use MekaDesk. Most notably, Meta restricts when a Page may message someone after their last message, so some replies and bulk sends may be limited, delayed, or rejected by the platform.

We surface failures where we can, but we do not control these rules and cannot guarantee delivery.

06Acceptable use#

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Send spam, scams, or unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
  • Send bulk or broadcast messages to people who have not agreed to receive them, or in breach of the platform rules above.
  • Violate the privacy or rights of the people you communicate with.
  • Attempt to breach, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service or its infrastructure.

07Your content#

Messages, contacts, and other data that flow through your connected accounts remain yours. You grant MekaDesk the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that data so the Service can function for you and your team. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process the messages and contact details of the people who write to you, and for answering their privacy requests as the business they contacted.

08Availability#

We work to keep MekaDesk reliable, but the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and the availability, policies, and API changes of Telegram and Meta are outside our control.

09Limitation of liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MekaDesk is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

10Termination#

You may stop using the Service and disconnect your accounts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the Service, to the messaging platforms we depend on, or to others.

11Changes to these Terms#

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
